Fidgety

I lived alone for about nine years after I left home, and before I moved in with Brad. Nine years! You get used to things - you wash your own dishes, leave your socks where you want, pee with the door open.....

Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining at all. I love living with Brad - but sometimes things get interesting....

We were settling in to watch some tv. Now, understand - we don't watch much current television at all. We watch older stuff that's already come and gone - old House episodes, old movies, old Magnum PI episodes (ha! ha!) - we watched the first three seasons of Lost on DVD. No commercials!

So when we do sit down to watch something, we're serious about it.

I've noticed an interesting habit of Brad's lately: he lasts about 5 minutes before he's up and roaming around, playing with Ziggy, cleaning up dishes, leaving the room in general.....and the other night - making cocoa?!

Then when he comes back he's all questions and confusion.
"Why is she leaving?"
"What is he doing there?!"
"How did they get in?"
"What's going on?"

He usually picks a perfect time to leave too. He doesn't leave in the boring soul searching scenes in House. Or when there is yet another boring love scene with Kate and Jack in Lost. Nope, he waits until Magnum is about to have a shoot out. House is about to have an epiphany. Or Desmond just missed pushing the button.

Which leaves me having to explain what's happened while he's gone. Try doing that when he wanders into the room at 9:15 - 15 minutes after Lost has started.

I watched all of LOST last night and I can't explain what happened to myself! I can't imagine your dilemma!

What about Columbo?? I have always had mad respect (yea I just typed that) for you and your love of the crazy-eyed detective.

ha ha, yeah, when you move in with someone, there's always things like that you have to adjust too.

I'm a fan of old Seinfeld episodes myself. As for Lost last night, its obvious Desmond is the key to everything. :)

LOL This post is hilarious! Loved it and the bonus drawing!

It kind of reminds me of an episode of the Simpsons where Homer is watching a movie and asks what some guy said and then says "what did that other guy say when I said what did that guy say?"

Oooooo....we love Lost! The last two episodes have been fantastic. We're also addicted to Jeopardy. Geeks at heart. And if Star wars: The Empire Strikes Back is on...we're glued

Nayway (once again, can't remember my user name password)

Rawbean - I know....Columbo. I do still love him. We have all the seasons on dvd now.

Christielli - HA! I remember that episode - it's EXACTLY like that when we watch House. If you miss one sentence you won't know what's going on.

Nayway - Jeopardy huh? I haven't watched that in ages!

Where did my comment from this post go? It was all about your great drawing and how we can't miss even a second of any TV we watch (we always push pause).

It's a mystery... but anyway, I love this drawing! :)
