Book Stress

Lately my reading habits have been all over the map. It's not cool.

I've taken The Lake of Dreams out of the library
three times now. The problem is that at the time, I was reading another book from the library, thinking I could finish them both before the due date.

Nope.

Then they both expired and I had to wait a couple weeks for another hold to come up. In the meantime, I started another book and then the holds came up and I had three books going...ohmigod.

On a positive note, I've discovered the coolest thing EVER. It's possible to synch my iPad and my Kobo. I bookmark a book on my iPad, turn on the wireless on my Kobo and the bookmark updates.

Can you take it?

I am going through the exact same book stress with library books right now. I got this awesome book "The Night Circus" from the "Best Bets" table last weekend. The "Best Bets" table is full of recent bestsellers and people can't put them on hold nor renew them. It's a great way to get a popular book quickly. Anyway, I really wanted to read this book and grabbed it. I'm halfway through and it's due tomorrow. The overdue fines with BB books are $1.00 per day, so I might have to take at least a $1.00 hit to finish it.

I also have one other book I had on hold out and one more to pick up. I don't know if I'll have time to read them either. At least I'll have three weeks for those.

I can do the syncing thing between my Kindle and my iPhone which is cool too, but I don't actually read on my phone. I totally would on an iPad though. You lucky winner. :)

I couldn't handle reading more than one thing at a time. Not only are you tech-savvy, but you're a natural multitasker, too! Go, Jabba!
