We went this afternoon - we didn't get up early this time, we bummed around the house until we felt like going.
Last year I bought 31 books. I read 14 of them and ended up donating 12 of them back to the book sale because they weren't worth keeping. So this year I totally held back. My new ereader doesn't exactly push me towards buying books right now either.
Here is our stash this year:
This is the third year Brad was looking for The Tommyknockers. It's the only Stephen King book he likes and we couldn't find it until this year - I found this one in a box hidden under a table!! Woo hoo!!Here is my stash:
What the hell? Four books - and the Ann Marie MacDonald I already own! I wasn't sure if I had bought it last year and......I did. So this one will go to my Mom. The only book I was REALLY looking for was the Caravaggio - we were looking through the Language books for Brad and I found it in there! Otherwise there was nothing in the Art section. It's in Italian, but that's okay.

Oh, this reminds me of the book sales that happened at U of Toronto in September. There were several, sponsored by different libraries, and my friends and I would scope them out on weekends. I should do that this fall. I totally forgot about that part of my life!
You'll enjoy The Birth of Venus... I think I recommended that to you?
Oh, also I find with owning an e-reader that I like to switch back and forth from e-reader to real book. I like the variety. :)
Way to hold back on gigantic book sale purchases this time around! I can see how having an e-reader would lessen the desire to carry 8 million pounds of used books home...
