Pants, Pants, Pants

I don't know about you guys, but my closet is heavy on tops (sweaters, shirts etc.) and light on bottoms (pants, shorts etc.)

(Every time I hear the word 'pants' I think of Rawbean. I know she finds the word itself funny and pants in general hilarious - I totally agree.)

For our trip I knew that I had to find something new to wear.
I wanted something loose and light. Unfortunately the best options are linen which isn't happening. I love linen but I hate taking care of it and it doesn't travel well.

So I ended up with these four purchases.

Two capris, two pants. The capris (the light ones on the left) are a keeper but I don't have a good photo with them on. The jeans are perfect they just need hemming....

The other two green options - sigh. This is where my mentalness begins. I was sure in the store that they were both perfect. I get them home and realize - they really aren't. Here are the pants.

I saw this photo and thought - 'What was I thinking? I look like I'm going hiking, not going to Florence!?' So I took them back. Exchanged them and was CONVINCED that now these were perfect.....

What the f**k??

There is something wrong with those change rooms. I mean, these pants are better (right??) but after washing them (yes, now I'm committed) and thinking for a few days now I'm not convinced at all.

We had to go run some errands today and popped into a store where Brad encouraged me to try some more pants on. I swore up and down I would never buy a pair of white pants, or a pair of 'flood pants'......but these are ridiculously perfect for our trip I think.

RIGHT??

Oh my god where to begin!

First of all, when I read the title I totally laughed out loud and THEN I kept reading and you even mentioned how I feel about the word!! Hehe....

I like the jeans (kind of boyfriend jean-ish) and the white pants ARE perfect! I actually don't mind the second pair either - but it's hard to tell from one picture. I have often been tricked by over flattering mirrors and lighting in a change room.

I like the how you carefully conceal your identity! Hehe...

And yes a phone call is due!

I love the jeans and white pants too!! The other pairs are all right, but def not as great as the others.

I am always super picky about vacation clothes because they have to be comfy or I'll be grumpy and they have to look awesome cuz I'll be photographed in them.

I used to love when I had roommates cuz I had someone to help assess clothes right away. Now I'm known to take pics and email them.

Also, I must mention that I adore your shopping posts!

Love the white pants-- kudos for even trying some on! (I don't consider myself a "white pant" person, either!)

You must be SO STOKED about your upcoming trip!
