You know sometimes when you just need to shut your brain off, dive into a big pile of blankets and pillows and comfort yourself somehow? Well, one day I wanted to do just that but I was really particular about what I put on to distract myself.
Nothing too sad, nothing violent, nothing too complicated or too dramatic. I found the perfect thing.
(cue the music)Knight Rider. Oooh yeah.
It was the perfect, ridiculous, so-bad-it's-good distraction that I was looking for. From The Hoff's ridiculous leather jacket with the sleeves rolled up to his elbows to the souped up Trans Am....it was just what I needed.

ummm, the Knight Rider theme song is my ring tone. And I owned a 1983 Trans Am for a number of years, when I was a teenager, the same year used in the show. I wanted to put the red LED light thing on the front my car, but I couldn't find one, and I didn't want to draw attention to myself because the car had a lot of problems. Enough problems that the cops would have impounded my car.

Isn't it crazy how those shows passed as entertainment back in the day? If that was on TV now, it would be laughed off the little screen. But that's why it's so awesome.
