Ridiculous Summer Reading

On Saturday we laughed at ourselves for being so unorganized (it's a long story, but trust me - we are ridiculous) but we eventually made it down to Beacon Hill Park to find a nice spot to read our newly acquired library books.*

Like I said in my last post, I tend to gravitate towards more mindless reads in the summer and I couldn't resist this book in the Staff Picks area. Ha! Ha! - Oooohh. Yup, it delivered. It had just enough to keep me interested, but was so full of fluff and so lacking in anything thought provoking that I finished it in a day and a half.

I'm on to another mystery now. Murder on the Lusitania by Conrad Allan. Much better. I blindly chose this one from the shelf and it's really good! Full of lots of history of the ship and he describes all his characters perfectly.

I finished another Buttercup Bag on the weekend, fully intending to list it in my shop but I can't. I'm keeping it, but I'll make another one just like it and list it in the next couple of days. I'm really excited about this bag, because I've made some improvements to the pattern and they are looking better than ever.

*I now have a Victoria Library Card. Brad rubbed it in, and said that this means I've finally 'traded Vancouver' for Victoria. Not quite.

That bag is majorly cute. Look at you go! Guess what? I'm going to learn crocheting for the first time tomorrow!

That bag is gonna sell really fast is my prediction. It's so pretty. Wait...did you say you were keeping it? But isn't it on the etsy site?
