Rome

Holy crap do I ever love Rome.

My feet - not so much. Thank God for moleskin.

Here is a shot of the street our apartment is on - that church at the end has the most creepy skulls all over it!

Our apartment is gorgeous - even better than the photos on the website. This internet connection and computer are super sketchy to say the least, but we are just happy to have something for now. From tomorrow onwards we will be off the radar.

The other morning we found a great little place for breakfast. The pastries were warm and the cappuccinos super smooth.

I have never drank so much water. It's about +28C in the SHADE. We also aren't eating much during the day - it's too hot. This lunch we had was perfect though. Oh - and the wine is cheap - €4 for a half litre so we have had tons of wine.
On our second day I bought a leather hand bag. I had to! Made in Florence, it's much more gorgeous in person, but you get the idea.

I have had the best gelato ever, the best lasgana ever, the best pizza ever and the most awesome sandwich ever here so far.We are leaving Rome for Venice tomorrow on the train. On Sunday night we will be in Florence! So far we've taken 650 photos and our trip isn't even half over. I hope you are all having a good week!

Ahhhh, I love this post for so many reasons!

i know what you mean about those cobblestone (?) streets. My feet hurt when we walked around certain parts of Paris where the streets were that way.

Hmmm, too hot to eat + lots of cheap wine to drink? Sounds like a fun combo!

Love the handbag!

That gelato looks amazing!

I hope you enjoy the rest of your trip! Can't wait to see more photos!

I like how I said "Take lots of Photos" and then noticed that you have already taken 650....probably more since that was a few days ago.

I am proud of your travel photos, wayyy better than mine (shameface). Italy looks divine, and I might be there before I start that crazy train challenge, so it's awesome to see it through your eyes.

So glad you're having good times and food, food... Ugh, I can only imagine PIZZA in Italy. Reedonkalus.

My train buddy was saying how cheap wine is in Italy, can't wait to find out for myself!

Look forward to more updates when you return. :)

Sounds like heaven to live off cappuccino, pastery and gelato. Count me in. What a great time you are having.

LOVE IT!!! Sounds like you guys are in heaven (Roman Catholic heaven, of course!)

At least it's hot and not freezing or raining in Rome. Can't wait to see more photos! (Thank goodness for digital, right?)
