Fun with Street View

A couple months ago when we were booking our accommodations for our trip, Brad and I were looking around Google Streetview while we were on the phone together. We were checking out the street where the apartment is in Rome, trying to figure out which building we are in.

Here is the street - check out the awesomeness at the end of the block!

So Brad told me to 'go to the end of the block near the awesome old building and look at the cool old arch over the street.' Okay!

I went there and ended up looking up the street one way and the other and this is what I saw. First looking one way.....

....and looking the other way....

We were confused. Brad could see the arch - why couldn't I? Was I on the wrong street? No. Maybe I was a block off? I started zooming in and out* and wandering around.

I kept going back to the same intersection. Then I realized.....I just had to 'look up'...

*At one point I ended up looking straight into the face of a giant lion's head water fountain carving.
