My Weekend without Brad

Brad has gone out of town to visit some friends. I have the house to myself for a few days! So, what have I got planned? Well, yesterday I went into Vancouver for a trip to Fabricana with my aunt. It was great, I have lots of new fabric to play with. I'm going to add more Buttercup Bags to my Etsy shop, and expand it with a couple of yoga mat bags!

If you know me, you know how much I can't stand Hollywood comedies. The last one I went to in the theatre was Wedding Crashers and boy did it suck. That was when I vowed to never see another comedy in the theatre.

I. Just. Don't. Get. It.
So I'm planning on watching these two movies this weekend:

Last night I watched Ruthless People - ohmigod that movie is hilarious!! I love Bette Midler, she has the best facial expressions....

Today I'm planning to dig out some of my old Sassy magazines (best. magazine. ever.) and read them on the balcony in the sun. Rawbean mentioned that she was glancing at hers the other day, it's made me want to check mine out too.

*I also watched The Eye, it wasn't great.

I love those old Bette Midler movies. I know a lot of people find her annoying but I think she's hilarious. I hope you enjoy the movies.

And I got your e-mail with the fabric. Looks like some awesome bags are ahead!

Rawbean - I finished watching Down and Out...yesterday. It was good, but not nearly as good as Ruthless People. Next on my list Outrageous Fortune.

Honestly Bette Midler does nothing for me, but I did like TSAM a bit. Different strokes..

On another note, Vince Vaughn is about as played out as Jack Black, Owen Wilson, Seth Rogan etc etc. ZZZZZZZZZZZZ! ;)

Davin - I know, I agree. My husband likes Vince Vaughn and he thought I would like the movie 'Swingers'. I couldn't get through more than 20 minutes - different strokes for sure. Or maybe I'm just stuck in the 80's?

The funniest I've seen Vince Vaughn was in Mr. & Mrs. Smith. Not the best movie, but he played paranoid, single guy really well.
