Bitty Bug

I made a new pincushion. I've realized it's nice to have two floating around, one at the sewing machine and one at the ironing board. Free tutorial here, and it uses your smallest scraps that otherwise would go to waste.

The one thing I realized after finishing this little project is that I'm the worst hand sewer in the world. I can't do it, and I don't enjoy doing it. With this project all I had to do was sew up a thumb sized hole and I swore my way through it.

Which makes me have more respect for people like this and this.

I luvvvv Odelia Laurie. She's my fave! Her combination of fabrics make the dolls POP. The dolls are so detailed and intricate. Perfect for a child or adult.

I hear you on hand sewing. If I suck at machine sewing, my hand sewing is even worse. I can sew buttons though, really!

Sooo cute that little bug is. Chantal made me a really great pin cushion and I use it all the time.

Strangely I think I would be awful at making bags! Weird hey?

IG - Yes, she's handy at crafting, all the things I couldn't make well. Which include hand sewing.

Rawbean - I know that pincushion, I'm jealous! It's so big and squishy! That IS funny, cause I find them so easy.....we'll have to supply each other.

Very cute! Just stopped by to let you know I've added your blog to my roll. I'm Marty's wife... you know, from the Harbour, with the *draws dryer-shaped box with fingers in the air*? :)

Hopefully we can meet up soon for some java!

That is completely adorable. I'm almost afraid to click on the tutorial link. They look highly addictive.
