I bought 12 books yesterday. (Well, three of them are for Brad, the 4th, 5th and 6th from the top) Thanks to Ben for pointing me in the right direction of Russel's Used Books. Holy CRAP is that store ever awesome! When I went upstairs, I stopped dead in my tracks when I encountered a solid wall of classic novels! Later on I discovered it was double-sided.So after browsing (I had a list) and finding almost everything I wanted I walked out one happy girl.
We also hit Bolen Books at Hillside Mall because I had a gift certificate there - another great bookstore. They sell new books, and also a nice selection of classics. (I had Elizabeth Gaskell in my hands, but thought the price too steep. She's definitely on my future reading list.)
Since I've started re-reading The Woodlanders (Chris you have to re-read this one) and am enjoying it more than I can express, I'll have to wait before I dive in.
Speaking of which, check out my Woodlanders book! It's been used and battered to the point where the pages are falling out. It's actually quite convenient when you want to wrap BOTH hands around your steaming mug of coffee while you're reading - it lays flat, you don't have to hold it!

Ya, Russel's is awesome. I hope I find something like that here. Enjoy the reading :D
Reading Gaskell's Mary Barton right now. Obviously Bleak House warmed me up because I am LOVING it. Seriously. AMAZING!
I love Bolen Books! I waited outside till 1am to pick up the 4th Harry Potter Book....Oh the good days. I need to read The Time Traveler's Wife...It's on my list!
Did you ever read that book I lent you? Huh huh? I wish I had more time to read.
Gawd, I miss reading. Slowly but surely, university is sapping my will to read. I pledge to pick up a book in the summer. I must, or face extinction.
Everybody I know who reads books is always "behind on their reading". What they need is a system, much like mine. Any time a book comes out, I wait for it to be turned into a movie. Let me tell you, it's a real timesaver. And, if the book/movie sucks, I've only lost a couple hours. :P
JC - Will you have time to read with school? Especially if you're like me and buy 12 books at a time.
Claire - Now I'm REALLY disappointed I didn't get Gaskell. How is this, I bought 12 books and I'm disappointed that I didn't buy another one??
Sassy - You are hard core! Maybe even more than me?
Rawbean - Actually I did and it was incredible. Future post to come....
IG - Summer is MADE for reading. Given your proximity to the beach...how could you NOT?
Pip - Ohmigod. I have movies of books in my closet that I haven't watched yet because I haven't read the book. Seriously, I've had one of them for YEARS. Even movies I've watched before I refuse to partake in, because I want to re-read the book first....I have issues.
