New Glasses

So, I've had the same glasses for over four years now - and they have been through a lot. Who knows how many times I've dropped them, I NEVER clean them and best of all - Ziggy likes chewing on them.

It's time for a new pair.

I learned something while looking around: I have a pinhead. Seriously - 90% of glasses are way too big on me. And not that cute 'big glasses' trend that's popular now. Glasses literally protrude 3" from either side of my skull - not a good look.

I've been to four stores and almost bought two pairs. Brad was at the point where everything looked good because he just wanted it over. I went so far as to give one store my prescription for these babies before changing my mind.

They were awesome, but just too big for my pinhead.

The other  problem was that I kept thinking about a pair that I tried on the first day of shopping.

So I said to myself 'If I try those ones on again and I have any doubt, I'll forget about them forever.'
I went back to that store, put them on and knew they were the right ones. The fact that he still had them was a sign.

Hopefully when I get them I don't change my mind again.

Glasses shopping is simultaneously the best and the worst experience possible! I discovered that my ears sit low on my head (and also at different levels), so whenever I try on glasses, the top of the frame cuts through my eyeballs. Marty is always trying to readjust them, but that's the way my face is built. :(

Can't wait to see the new pair, though! I'm sure they'll look awesome. :)

PS: I am going on 5 years for my frames now. I'll have them for a few more years still, because I just upgraded the lenses to my new prescription and got rid of my god-awful transitions lenses. Hopefully the frames will still be hip in 2015-16. Heh.

Glad you found a pair that you like (finally).

I've never had glasses, but I can imagine how hard it is to find something that looks good especially when you have to wear them EVERY DAY.

Can't wait to see what the new pair look like. Glad they were still there for you!
