My staff Christmas party was last night. Sometimes these things cause anxiety right? Whether you hate your boss or you don't want to end up at the 'boring table'.....there can be issues.
Not this time. This is the first time ever that I've worked in an office where everyone is awesome in some way that I admire and appreciate. We just hired two guys in particular that I really, really like. This is a good Christmas present for me.
I just finished one of the best books of 2012, Gone Girl. I'll write more on that later. Usually half way through a book I start thinking about what's on deck. This time I had the strangest urge - fantasy. I asked Brad what he has and he had two options. One of them was Lord of the Rings which he hasn't read yet either. I started it and so far I'm really surprised at the writing - so good.
I can't believe this is the last week before Christmas. I have a crazy busy week lined up too I'm wrapping up a project. If we get occupancy on Friday I'm planning on drinking lots and lots of martinis after work. Perhaps with the contractor who is likely even more stressed than I am.
