For the most part I find tv ads incredibly intrusive and annoying. But once in a while I see one that gets me thinking. I might make this a semi-regular installment on here,
but don't expect posts too often since the majority of ads are simply
annoying and not worth mentioning.
That being said, watch this one - you've probably seen it:
Don't you think there were likely numerous screening processes it had to go through before it was even considered to air? How many people watched it? Edited it?
Well, not one of them noticed that the two women are wearing different outfits at the end.
Really?

I had to watch it twice to notice the outfit change thing! I think it's because their clothing is so bland, that it's really hard to pick up on the change... I'm amazed that you noticed in the first place?
I once remember hearing that people are more likely to remember the product name for bad commercials as opposed to witty/funny ones. Perhaps this is Cascade's strategy!
You are very observant. I totally didn't notice that. I think I blocked the commercial from my mind because it seems to pit women against each other over something domestic... I'm also really incensed by that Klondike commercial when he "listens" to his wife for 5 seconds. They've been playing it non-stop through the playoffs and I think by June, I'll be picketing the nearest distributor for being irritating AND offensive. I'd like to create a commercial approval board that clears a commercial for air. And create a law that says you can only play the same one once during a one-hour period. Be thankful you're not exposed to SaskTel commercials out there! lol.
Ha-- I don't even want to comment in case this boosts Cascade's campaign in any way. ;)
Most commercials are terrible, but I have to admit that I LOVE going to see those "World's Best Commercials" things at the theatre. They usually have some AWESOME ones... totally not sucky like this Cascade one.
This is SOOO messed up. As if they changed clothes! Super impressed you noticed.
