First class! The sleeper car is booked for the trek from Vancouver to Toronto - it takes three days so it will be totally worth it. Also sleeper car from Montreal to Halifax, which goes over night.
We're spending three nights in Toronto, two nights in Ottawa, three nights in Montreal and one night in Halifax. Then we will fly home.
Other that just going, there are only two things I really want to do:
1. Blue Jays game! We completely planned our trip around their home game schedule. We're going to see them play the Phillies.
2. Meet Christielli!
So the countdown is ON. 11 weeks......

Sounds like it'll be a blast! I love the train...
Ooo exciting!!! I've wanted to take the train across Canada but have heard it was really expensive so never really looked into it. I hope you'll be sharing some photos from your journey. :)
That's super exciting! I'm jealous that you get to meet Christielli!!
I am so excited to meet you, and your trip will be amazing!
Also, I have taken a portion of VIA train #1. A few years ago, my pal Becca T and I took it from Edmonton to Vancouver, and we stopped for a couple day in Jasper. However, we did not do first class. We were economy, but I actually got our seats for free using the "train miles" I built up in university.
One piece of advice from my experience - train #1 often gets a bit late on schedule, which means that you might have to drop your bags at the station and do a little bit of extra sightseeing. (Happened to us.)
You are going to have so much fun! Hmmm, I'm going to have to send you an insiders' guide to the best stuff in Toronto!
How exciting-- I'm so jealous! I've never taken a train in Canada before (though I've taken my fair share of trains in Europe. Does that count?)
Can't wait to live vicariously through your vacation!
That sounds like a great way to see our country. What an amazing trip, I'm certain. On my bucket list.
Say hi to Christielli for me.
lady! I'm so excited for your train trip...:) I remember when you and Brad told me about it - I love trains. And will be taking them again for my Europe trip this summer. Can't wait to read those posts!
