Cats don't like other cats. It's a fact of life. They hiss, howl, growl, moan and swipe at each other. No matter what.
Unless you are Ziggy.
When he sees a strange cat, he makes the cutest, most friendly sounds (think high pitched: "Hi! My name is Ziggy! Let's be friiieends!") and gets right in their faces. I've seen him chase cats under stairs trying to be friends....it's ridiculous and totally abnormal cat behaviour.
And it makes other cats want to kick the shit out of him.
Now I have proof. Brad shot this video over Christmas in the basement at my in-laws house. Watch it - DO. IT. It's only 60 seconds. (Make sure your sound is on so you can hear the friendly noises he makes.)
He has no idea the black cat is totally STALKING him in the beginning. Then he goes right in for more 5 seconds later!

Okay, so I pressed played on this video, and as soon as Ziggy made his friendly voices, Ms. Rilo hopped up on the table and watched the video curiously. Maybe they'd be friends? I don't know... I've never had the opportunity to see Rilo with another cat.

I like how he looks over at you or brad after the black cat goes crazy, kind of like "what's his problem?" and then he goes back to "dude lets be friends!"
Oh my goooooooood that video is awesome!! Haha. I love the sounds cats make. I took a video once of my cat Abby "talking" to a neighbour cat that came to the door (through the glass). Sooo cute. Now for some reason she's totally uninterested in the other cats though. I love how Ziggy goes back and is like really?? don't you want to be my friend?? So cute.
