We went out on the balcony to take a closer look, I was convinced something was on fire because the misty smoke was coming so fast. It had already started to envelop the building across the street.
There was no smell so we decided to take a quick walk down to the sea wall to investigate further. Holy crap - I've never seen fog roll in like that. This is where things got really creepy. Here is a picture of Brad out on a big rock, the sea wall continues on to the left - into oblivion.
Keep in mind - we are in the middle of the city. Normally we can see the buildings and cruise ships across the way, it's not far. We walked around the sea wall for a few minutes. Once we rounded a bend we could literally see the edge of the patch of fog that had rolled in on top of us.
Craziness here in Victoria. It was like a giant pillow, a lump, a mound of fog had decided to sit down to rest for a minute before moving on.

I love the photo of wee little brad on the rock.
That is some CRAZY fog action.
People keep asking me if you like it there. I am now saying "yes, yes she does". It seems to be very true.
Your descriptions are so well written! Love that picture of Brad .. so French Lieutenant's Woman. Er.. as in, he's not a woman..oh damn, you know what I mean.
I LOVE fog. I remember traveling on a bus in Vietnam, we started weaving into these mountain roads and hit some fog. It felt like I was entering the centre of a soft pillow... hehe.
