Remember my schplinth?
I only wear it at night now, but I've grown to appreciate it. I don't grind my teeth at night, but I clench my jaw - which is really bad. It's a relief to put it in actually... somehow comforting to feel something when I bite down. I know that sounds weird but talk to me if you ever have a 9mm open bite.
In other words I've become attached!
Tonight is the last night I'll be able to wear it.
Tomorrow morning I'm having spacers put in for my lower braces. I've had the upper braces for 5 months now. Again, the spacers don't hurt - it's just like having popcorn stuck between your teeth and after a while you don't even notice them. I don't understand what all the complaining is about out there.
Next week - lower braces. It's so appropriate that I'm getting them on our biggest deadline so far since I've been with my new company. Seriously? Most people would be out celebrating. Not me, I manage to schedule this instead?!
I think I'll manage to fit some bourbon in there somewhere.

Hope the lower-brace installation went well.
Yes to bourbon. Always.
Hope you're doing ok! Sorry I've been away from the internet so long. things have been a little....yeah.... Missed ya, lady!
So glad to hear the spacers aren't causing you problems - they nearly murdered me. May your lower braces be equally pleasant as your uppers. :-)
Aw, RIP splint! We hardly knew thee...
