So......I've had a little project going on for a couple months. I couldn't blog about it because my Mom reads my blog:
I bought my parents.....a MacBook Pro for Christmas!
I had been thinking about it for a long, long time. This is not a spur of the moment decision - obviously.
So for a couple months before Christmas I was customizing it for them - adding all the tv shows and movies we have that I think they would like, adding all the photos I have where they were involved and best of all - pimping out their music library.
My parents aren't exactly savvy with computers - but now with (in my opinion) the best tool out there - they'll get there in no time.
They are the perfect Mac users!
I warned Brad that this had the potential to backfire. It was possible that they would get super choked and upset about the amount of money I spent.
When they opened it up, I could tell they were pretty shocked, emotional and a little bit choked. Overall they were completely overwhelmed - and they still are. Mom says she sees it on the table and can't believe it's hers. What an incredible experience for me.
My dad put it perfectly a few days later - when he had a chance to absorb it - when he said "I think you've set us free."
As if it isn't worth it.

WOW! Awesome gift! Especially with all of the media that you included.
It's such a great feeling to give an amazing gift... And it really has nothing to do with the expense, but the thoughtfulness and kindness.
Well done. I hope your parents enjoy it a lot. :)
Yep. I think you nailed it. :)
Ps. There were 4 BlueJays at the Blades game Friday night. Wasn't able to get an autograph but if I had it was soooo headed to you...
