We had planned a trip into Tuscany three days before we flew home. The night before our trip, Brad picked up the camera and - I'll never forget it - fumbled with it and it ended up smashing on the tile floor.Man, that camera was busted. Busted. When we turned it on, it made a horrible noise, flashed a weird blue screen-of-death and turned itself off with the shutter halfway open.
So we don't really have many photos of our trip into Tuscany, San Gimignano and Sienna.
The worst (best?) part of this story:When we got home, I plugged the camera in just to get the photos off the card and...it worked like nothing had ever happened.
Seriously?

Ugh, what bad timing for dropping the camera, eh? Well, at least it didn't happen at the beginning of the trip!
I thought I broke my camera in Utah because I got sand in its lens during a hike and it wouldn't open/close properly. I was going to go buy a new one, but then after I hit it a bunch of times, the sand loosened and it was fine.
Ahh, I'm going to miss the Italian posts. What/when is your next trip?
That little bastard!
Sounds like the camera got camera shy... har har har. Glad that it's working again!
