This time I knew who it was from though - my good friend V. from New Zealand. She was visiting a couple weeks ago and was reading an interesting book by a NZ author. So she sent it to me! It's next up on my list.Last week I was getting close to finishing Guns,Germs and Steel (which is really good by the way) and I didn't have anything lined up afterwards. The reason for this was that I was waiting for a book from the library to come up on a hold and it wasn't happening.
We were over at a friend's house for dinner last week and I mentioned that I wasn't reading anything at that moment and suddenly I found myself with 5 books stacked in front of me to take home. I've already finished one of them (Stumbling on Happiness - Daniel Gilbert) and I'm starting the next one tonight.
I've found myself needing to get away from emotionally-heavy-novels lately which is why I've been reading non-fiction. I'll work my way back into my usual reading material eventually. For now, the books from the book sale are on hold.

I'm curious what you will think of the David Sedaris. He and his sister are always on This American Life podcasts and frankly I don't like their style. They're smart for sure, but I find them over descriptive and somewhat dull when they are trying to be shocking. Let me know how it goes!
Wait, so you STILL don't know who sent you P&P&Z? I love receiving books. I just surprise attacked my mom with a book delivery. It makes everyone's day!
Those are some great books your friend lent you! I keep meaning to read Three Cups of Tea. Also, I super loved Wicked (but then not as much the rest of his books).
How was Stumbling on Happiness?
I read "Naked" this year and found it pretty hilarious.
I own Two Cups of Tea and Wicked and I've started them both, but couldn't really get into either and abandoned them. But there's always a chance!

At first Naked was really good and totally making me crack up. Now I'm just over halfway and it's still okay but it seems like he's lost a bit of steam.
EPGNTR - Stumbling on Happiness was awesome. He kinda lost me in the last two chapters, but it's a definite recommendation. No, I still don't know who sent me the book!! So. Crazy.
