Stuff on my Ipod 3

Rawbean and I were just talking the other day about how we're totally bored with our music lately. A few days later I stumbled upon this gem of a group:

Plastic OperatorFrom the first song on the album I was comletely hooked. My first reaction was to email Rawbean and demand that she listen to them, I was so desperate I even emailed her a song off the album. If you like Faded Paper Figures (who I absolutely adore) give these guys a shot.
(My favourite song is Folder - so cute!!)

Grafton PrimaryOkay, these guys are a little more off the wall. I want to say they are like a combination of Chromeo and She Wants Revenge....two bands that I love and coincidentally who Brad hates the most....ha! ha! Lucky for him!!
Seriously, if you need some energy in your day these guys deliver.

Dragonette

I've been meaning to download these guys forever but kept forgetting. Holy crap is this album ever good! At times they remind me of The Ting Tings, but more often than that they have their own sound. Yum.

I think Chantoon mentioned these guys to Rawbean a few weeks ago and I picked up on it while I was visiting. (I'm a sponge when these girls start talking music.) Almost like a super mellow groovy Junior Boys at times (but even better), and really good driving music. I listen a lot at work while I'm drawing. So good.

Memory Tapes

These guys are great - some great mellow stuff on this album. I don't even know who to compare them to. 'Stop Talking' and 'Graphics' are two of my favourite songs and 'Run Out' reminds me of my good friend Jon.

We Were Promised Jetpacks

Okay did any of you listen to Fugazi back in the day? This guy sounds like an Irish version of him! So good and a nice change from all the electronica stuff that seems to haunt my Ipod.
